MISSING MAN, 25, FOUND AFTER SURVIVING FIVE DAYS OFF BERRIES AND BUGS
Kaden Laga, who was on a horseback-riding trip on the border of Montana and Idaho, got lost Aug. 10 after a family member’s horse went lame. Kaden, a strong hiker, had offered to walk ahead to their next camp site, but took a wrong turn. Nearly a week of ground and air search turned up nothing, until 2:45 a.m. Friday.

POLICE ARREST TWO LOUISIANA MEN IN 39-YEAR-OLD COLD CASE MURDER OF TEEN
Leo Laird, 64, and Gary Haymon, 54, were both charged on Monday in the death of 18-year-old Donna Gayle Brazzell, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office. Authorities declined to elaborate on what evidence led to Laird and Haymon’s arrest, but said “sufficient probable cause was established.” Both men have been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree rape, and aggravated kidnapping.

WHAT TEMPERATURE SHOULD I SET MY THERMOSTAT?
Jennifer Titus, an investigative reporter for WTSP 10 in the Tampa area of Florida, is just the messenger here. Still, she’s getting ratioed because she pulled out the most eye-popping stats from a Consumer Reports article that recommends the best temperatures for your air conditioner, via Energy Star, a joint program from the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). According to the report, you should set your thermostat to 78 degrees Fahrenheit when you’re home, 85 degrees when you’re at work or away, and 82 degrees when you’re sleeping. It’s that last temperature that has particularly irked the Twitterati, who aren’t super into the idea of going to bed every night in Tampa-like conditions, especially in the dead of August.

WOMAN GIVES BIRTH TO TRIPLETS AFTER HOSPITAL VISIT FOR WHAT SHE THOUGHT WAS KIDNEY STONES
Dannette Giltz had no idea that once she got to the hospital, she would later give birth to triplets. She took a urinalysis test and later learned that it wasn’t kidney stones, but in fact, labor. She was told that she was about to give birth to twins. She and Austin Giltz were about to double the amount of children in their household since they already had two together.

BEN UNWIN, HOME AND AWAY ACTOR, DIES
Co-stars paid tribute to the actor following the news.
