JUSTIN TRUDEAU WORE BROWNFACE AT 2001 ‘ARABIAN NIGHTS” PARTY WHILE HE TAUGHT AT A PRIVATE SCHOOL, CANADA’S LIBERAL PARTY ADMITS
The photograph has not been previously reported. The picture was taken at an “Arabian Nights”-themed gala. It shows Trudeau, then the 29-year-old son of the late former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, wearing a turban and robes with his face, neck and hands completely darkened. The photograph appears in the 2000-2001 yearbook of West Point Grey Academy, a private day school where Trudeau was a teacher. Earlier this month, TIME obtained a copy of the yearbook, The View, with the photograph of Trudeau in brownface from Vancouver businessman Michael Adamson, who was part of the West Point Grey Academy community. Adamson was not at the party, which was attended by school faculty, administrators and parents of students. He said that he first saw the photograph in July and felt it should be made public.

DA WON’T PROSECUTE ANTONIO BROWN ON RAPE ACCUSATIONS BECAUSE OF STATUTE
Britney Taylor is bringing a civil lawsuit against Brown for an alleged incident in June 2017. The NFL has interviewed Taylor and continues to investigate, but it is not known whether the league will interview Brown. Taylor claims Brown sexually assaulted her on three separate occasions, including once in Pittsburgh, where the wide receiver played for the Steelers for nine seasons, and twice in Florida. ESPN also has reported that Brown, who hired Taylor as a trainer after they attended Central Michigan at the same time, turned down a $2m settlement before the suit was filed. Confidential discussions between the two parties were held, and it was determined the Patriots would not have known about the allegations unless terms of the confidentiality had been breached.

NETANYAHU CANCELS TRIP TO U.N. AS HE APPEARS TO FALL SHORT IN ISRAEL ELECTIONS
With more than 90 percent of the votes counted, Netanyahu’s decade-long grip on power appeared to be slipping. His center-right Likud party was expected to win 31 seats, while its main rival, the centrist Blue and White party, was pulling ahead with 32 seats, according to the Central Election Committee. That could give his rival, Blue and White leader Benny Gantz, the first chance to form a new government, if he can put together a coalition with other parties. But it’s not clear whether Gantz will join with the Likud party if Netanyahu continues to be its leader.

A FLIGHT FROM VIETNAM TO SOUTH KOREA WAS DELAYED FOR 11 HOURS AFTER THE PILOT ARRIVED AT THE AIRPORT AND REALIZED HE HAD LOST HIS PASSPORT
The flight, operated by the South Korean budget airline T’way Air, was supposed to take off at 10:35 p.m. local time on Friday but ended up being delayed until 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, The Korea Times reported. Passengers had to wait as the airline tried to get a replacement passport for the pilot, The Korea Times reported. T’way Air said it was investigating the incident and how the pilot managed to lose his passport. It didn’t identify the pilot.

AIR POLLUTION REACHES PLACENTA DURING PREGNANCY
The study is the first that found particles accumulated on the fetus’s side of the placenta, near the site of the formation of the umbilical cord. The researchers studied placentas from 10 mothers who lived near major roads, as well as 10 placentas from donors who lived farther from busy streets. The mothers who had been exposed to higher levels of air pollution during pregnancy were found to have the highest levels of particles in the placenta. The discovery is “a potential mechanism explaining the detrimental health effects of pollution from early life onwards,” the researchers said.
