Today’s Rundown:

  • U.S. HALTS INTELLIGENCE SHARING WITH UKRAINE, CIA DIRECTOR CONFIRMS: This decision comes after a contentious meeting between President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during which Trump and Vance criticized Ukraine for not showing sufficient gratitude for American support.
  • LA CITY COUNCIL UPHOLDS CONTROVERSIAL FIRING OF FORMER FIRE CHIEF KRISTIN CROWLEY: The Los Angeles City Council has upheld Mayor Karen Bass’s decision to dismiss Fire Chief Kristin Crowley, rejecting Crowley’s appeal in a 13-2 vote. This decision follows Crowley’s removal amid criticism over the Los Angeles Fire Department’s (LAFD) response to the devastating Palisades Fire in January, which resulted in significant loss of life and property.
  • TESLA VANDALISM REPORTS SURGE NATIONWIDE, INCLUDING GRAFFITI, EXPLOSIVES, AND ARSON: These incidents are part of a broader wave of protests and vandalism targeting Tesla. Demonstrations have occurred at Tesla showrooms in the U.S. and Europe, with activists criticizing CEO Elon Musk’s political affiliations and actions. Some protests have escalated to property damage, including arson attempts and graffiti.
  • JON STEWART CALLS OUT ELON MUSK FOR ‘BULLSH*T’ EXCUSE TO SKIP ‘DAILY SHOW’ INTERVIEW: Initially, Musk had consented to an interview on the condition that it be aired unedited—a stipulation Stewart promptly accepted, noting that in-studio interviews are typically broadcast in full. However, Musk subsequently declined the invitation, accusing Stewart of being “too partisan” and a “propagandist.” In response, Stewart mocked Musk’s claims, highlighting Musk’s own partisan actions, such as his support for former President Donald Trump.
  • TOM LLAMAS TO REPLACE LESTER HOLT AS NEW ANCHOR OF ‘NBC NIGHTLY NEWS’: Llamas, who joined NBC in 2021, currently anchors “Top Story with Tom Llamas” on NBC News NOW and serves as a senior national correspondent.
  • TWO CHARGED WITH STEALING TAYLOR SWIFT ERAS TOUR TICKETS, PROFITING OVER $600K IN RESALES: The suspects were reportedly employed by Sutherland, a third-party contractor for StubHub based in Kingston, Jamaica. They allegedly exploited their positions to access URLs of already-purchased tickets, which were then sent to accomplices in New York. These accomplices downloaded and resold the tickets on StubHub at inflated prices between June 2022 and July 2023.
  • CASEY ANTHONY, ACQUITTED IN DAUGHTER’S DEATH, SAYS SHE’S NOW A LEGAL ADVOCATE ON TIKTOK: In her inaugural TikTok video posted on March 1, 2025, Anthony stated, “I am a legal advocate, I am a researcher, I’ve been in the legal field since 2011.” She expressed her intention to “advocate for myself and also advocate for my daughter.” Anthony also mentioned her commitment to supporting the LGBTQ community and women’s rights, aiming to utilize her platform to provide tools and resources to those in need.
  • TRUMP’S REVAMPED KENNEDY CENTER LOSES ‘HAMILTON’ PERFORMANCE RUN: The new leadership, including interim executive director Richard Grenell, has criticized these cancellations as publicity stunts, arguing that they reflect intolerance toward differing political views. Grenell specifically targeted “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, suggesting that the decision to cancel was driven by political bias rather than genuine concern for the institution’s direction.
