Suzanne Collins, the author of the popular “Hunger Games” series, is releasing a new book titled “Sunrise on the Reaping.” This will be the fifth book in the series and is set to be published on March 18, 2025. The story begins with the reaping of the Fiftieth Hunger Games, which takes place 24 years before the events of the original “Hunger Games” novel released in 2008.

TRUMP ALLY STEVE BANNON MUST SURRENDER TO PRISON BY JULY 1 TO START CONTEMPT SENTENCE, JUDGE SAYS

Steve Bannon, a former adviser to Donald Trump, has been ordered to report to prison by July 1, 2024. He was convicted of contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena from the House committee investigating the January 6 Capitol riot. Bannon had his four-month prison sentence temporarily paused while he appealed the conviction, but a judge has now ruled that he must begin serving his sentence following the denial of his appeal by a three-judge panel.

Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) has introduced the Constitutional Citizenship Clarification Act, aimed at amending birthright citizenship in the United States. This legislation seeks to end the practice of granting automatic citizenship to children born in the U.S. to non-citizen parents, specifically targeting children of illegal immigrants. The bill is co-sponsored by Senators Marsha Blackburn, Ted Cruz, and J.D. Vance. Cotton argues that the current interpretation of birthright citizenship contributes to illegal immigration and burdens on public resources.

GILGO BEACH SUSPECT REX HEUERMANN CHARGED WITH KILLING 2 MORE WOMEN

Rex Heuermann, the primary suspect in the Gilgo Beach murders, has been indicted on new murder charges. Heuermann, 60, was charged with the murders of Sandra Costilla in 1993 and Jessica Taylor in 2003. These charges are in addition to previous accusations related to the Gilgo Beach serial killings. Heuermann has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

COLORADO TOWNS AGREE TO DEAL WITH WOMAN WHO WAS HANDCUFFED IN POLICE CAR HIT BY TRAIN

Yareni Rios-Gonzalez, a Colorado woman who was handcuffed and left inside a police car that was parked on train tracks, has reached an $8.5 million settlement with two Colorado towns. In 2022, while responding to a road rage incident, police detained Rios-Gonzalez and placed her in a patrol car that was then struck by a train. She suffered serious injuries from the crash. The incident led to significant legal actions, including the conviction of one of the involved officers, Jordan Steinke, for reckless endangerment.
